2016 Key Stage 2 Results

Pupil Outcomes 2016

In 2016, there were significant changes to Key Stage 2 assessment practice. The Department for Education has made it explicit that this data is to be treated with caution. When Ofsted visited our school in October 2016, they looked at these results, alongside a wide range of other information and found the school to be significantly improved – to the extent that the school moved from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’.

Children leave Red Hill Field Primary School equipped to face the challenges that will await them both academically and as members of our community. We believe that children have a right to receive an engaging and wide ranging school experience which prepares them for assessment and the next stage of their school career without narrowing the curriculum.

2016 Key Stage 2 SATs results indicate that not enough children met the expected standard of the test. In addition, progress from Year 2 was below national expectations. Analysis of this cohort shows that many children underperformed in the Reading and Maths tests and our own teacher assessments indicated that many more children had reached the expected standard.
