Pupil Leadership
At Red Hill Field, we believe every child has the potential to lead, inspire and make a difference. Our pupils are given a wide range of opportunities to become leaders and ambassadors across different areas of school life, developing confidence, responsibility and teamwork along the way. Whether championing wellbeing, promoting sport, protecting the environment or sharing a love of reading, our pupil leaders play an important role in shaping our school community and ensuring every voice is heard.
School Council:
Our School Council is made up of dedicated pupils who are elected by their classmates to represent their views. Each year, we have representatives from Year 3 to Year 6.
In their role, council members work together to:
-
Choose charities to support throughout the year
-
Plan and lead fundraising initiatives
-
Act as the pupil voice for our school community
-
Listen to the ideas and suggestions of their peers and share them with staff
Our School Council helps ensure that every child has the opportunity to contribute to school life and make a positive difference.
Wellbeing Ambassadors
Our Wellbeing Ambassadors are all representatives from Year 5 and 6. They help promote a positive, caring atmosphere across the school. They look out for their peers, encourage kindness and help support a safe, inclusive environment. Working alongside staff, they champion wellbeing initiatives and help ensure that every child feels valued and listened to.
Sports Ambassadors
Sports Ambassadors play a key role in encouraging active lifestyles within our school. They help lead playground activities, support sporting events and promote fair play and teamwork. Their aim is to inspire others to take part in physical activity and celebrate the joy of sport. They receive training from the South Leicestershire School Sports Partnership and help to activate healthy campaigns within school.
Eco-Warriors
Our Eco-Warriors are passionate about protecting the environment and helping our school become more sustainable. They lead initiatives such as recycling, reducing waste, saving energy and keeping our grounds tidy. They work together to raise awareness and encourage everyone to make ecofriendly choices.
Digital Leaders
Digital Leaders support the use of technology across the school. They help promote online safety, assist with digital equipment and act as role models for responsible and confident computing. They also share their skills with other pupils, helping to make technology fun, accessible and safe for all.
Reading Ambassadors
Reading Ambassadors help foster a love of reading throughout the school. They promote reading for pleasure, support library activities, and help recommend books to other children. Their enthusiasm helps create a positive reading culture where every child can discover stories they enjoy.
